Description

Introduction

Are you someone who needs to fidget in a spinner sort of way? Are you a fan of the little-known books and I think a few or two movies called Harry Potter?

Well, great news, I have just the thing to solve both of your needs, introducing; the Harry Potter Fidget Spinner with the Platform 9 ¾ logo on both sides and the HP logo around the edges.

Experience

You will experience the adrenaline rush that only a Fidget Spinner can provide, forget fast cars or base jumping, Fidget Spinners are the new x-sport adventure. It doesn't matter where you find yourself, be it in your home, your office, or out in the world, you can be spinning your little heart out like a demon.

Muggles can't handle this Fidget Spinner, it requires you're spell-casting wizardry to become the very best.

Dimensions

  • 80mm diameter
  • 12mm thickness

I set it up to print 4 of these on one plate, you just need to move the priming tower to the center. they look amazing. They are a little tricky to get spinning, take quite a bit of force to separate them the first time, and you’ll need to do a lot of spinning to “sand” out the right spots. But play with them for 15 minutes and they should be in pretty good shape after that.

Thank you. It is the colour changes at the splits that means you sometimes need to manipulate them for a short while to get them perfect.

These look great! Is there any special tweeking you did to get these to work? I could use some pointers.

I just printed this using your suggested parameters and the model is totally fused together. I guess I should have looked at the slice. Any suggestions? trying this again with a smaller layer height.

The profile I provided was the one I used to generate the printed version in the photos. When you preview, have you looked through the sliced layers and can visually see the three separate sections? A standard 0.2 layer will work perfectly with a 0.4 nozzle. It did for me and every other Fidget Spinner I have uploaded and yet to upload. I might be able to help if I had more information.

Hello Marc. I tried this with 0.2 layer height & 16. Both unfortunately failed. When looking at the slice I can only view 2 separate sections. The first and middle. Not the top. I thought it may just be hidden. The sections are more pronounced in the smaller layer height but still can't see the top section. Both models where fused. You can see the circle on the top where it's supposed to separate. I'm using a 0.4 nozzle and Bambu basic filament. I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong.

I have just downloaded the public profile (so there is no confusion) and sliced it. I have then moved the layer marker down to around half way down. As you can see, there are 3 very distinct sections, due to the two slices. The slices are 0.4mm thick. This makes the model very easy to rotate quickly once up and running. The multiple colour changes near the slices however can mean some manipulation of the model is required to get the moving initially. Once they move, you twist the sections at roughly 90º to each other and push them around a few times to make make sure any loose material (due to the imagery) has been smoothed off more than the printer could. After this, a single spin can last well over 10 seconds.

Thank you for rating my model. What went wrong with the print that meant you were disappointed?
