Description

Update :

Since some users were having issues, I added a cutout under it, to make sure that the cover isn't touching the two screws that hold the build plate.

Model

This cover is designed to prevent dust and filament debris from falling into the small space between the bed frame and the rear axis.

It also acts as a third build plate guide in the middle.

It is 100% compatible with all printer movements and will not interfere in any way when installed on a P1 or X1 series printer.

Installation

Remove the build plate : Remove it to access the space under it. Remove any filament debris that might be stuck.

Snap the Cover In Place : Simply position the cover without applying excessive force, it should snap in easily.

Check for Gaps : Ensure there are no gaps between the little walls where the cover rests and the cover itself on each side.

Put the build plate back : The build plate should slide smoothly on top of the cover

Once you’ve completed all the steps, your cover is now ready to go!

Es passt zwar gut in die dafür vorhergesehene Position, aber die Druckplatte rutscht nicht wie beschrieben darüber, und das Homing findet in der Luft statt. Somit nicht zu gebrauchen...

Are you sure that it was pushed all the way in ? It shouldn't cause any problems if installed properly.

I pressed with both hands, one at the top, one at the bottom... I cleaned everything beforehand, there were no pieces of filament in it. I tried it 3 times but it doesn't work.

Ok, that's weird, could you try to see what part of the cover is causing it ? If you have the time If not my guess is that the distance between the plate itself and the two walls that the cover rest on might vary between printers batches, I will update the model to try to fix that.

This printed really well and snaps in perfectly (I had a bed adhesion issue on the first try and forgot to reprint from the app which is the only reason it’s not 5 stars)

Works like a charm. My only addition with be a magnet or space for double sided tape to keep it from being dislodged so easily. You have to be careful when placing the plate.
