Description

UPDATE 2024/05/31: Added an improved version of the screw and insert for a better fitment of the threads, also .3mf files

Print Instructions:

Everything can be printed in place without supports with at least 10% infill. PLA works well, for more strength print with at least 3 walls. Just take care of the M14 thread insert and the screw by using 0.12 or 0.16 resolution and maybe a lower printing speed to make both parts fit perfectly.

Assembling:

Push the insert into the clamp body.
Put the screw in and test its functionality.
Mount the stopper on the screw
Place the whole clamp on your desk

need to cut back the 1st threads on the shaft to get it to feed into the holder after that it works good.

Looks great! Thank you for printing! Yeah you are right, if the quality of the printer is not good enough or the speed was too high, the screw will barely fit because of the tight M14 fitment.

I had a bit of trouble with the screw. I scaled it down a little and forced the first 3 threads. After that, everything fit perfectly. Overall, I find it quite well-designed.

The thread is a little bit tight but it works fine :) Realy useful.

Really bad 3D model, thread just does not fit... already wasted material on your bad model. Dont print this. There are much better models - that you print from profile and fits perfect. "Sligthly overengineered", meh...
