A1/A1mini AMSlite has a great design, but I think it would be nicer to have the option of connecting external filament dry boxes (or such Dust-Protector like my Duster) with the help of PTFE tubes. And with the way filaments tend to wear out the edges of the feed funnel, it's nice to have some level of protection on the AMSlite. The PTFE connectors for AMSlite, which I could find so far either didn't hold properly or were very difficult to remove after installation 😳
So, I designed my own😉, which has 2 clamps which hold the connector firmly on the funnel and release it easily when clamps will be loosing! 😎Additionally, I shaped PTFE channel in the way, that it points to the center of the spool and thus feeds filament into AMSlite at a more optimal angle. Even with almost empty filament spools, filament is fed into AMSlite at a better angle.
These little helpers have beautiful dice symbols to number the filament inputs on the AMSlite. This is especially helpful when installing AMSlite vertically!
Thanks to my supporter and tester SteveKratz and PrintWarrior! 🦾😍
With their great help I was able to check and improve the functionality of this design!!! 🙏❤️👍
Steve - thank you for some awesome pictures too! 🙏
⚠️This model must be printed in PETG filament! PETG is very important for the function of the clamps! Printed with PLA, for example, they won't last long on the AMSlite! ⚠️
Print / Install Instructions:
⚠️I recommend to use my print profiles - there are all these settings well done and tuned!
- place them with the number on the build plate
- first layer line width: 0,38 (0.4 mm Nozzle)
- first layer speed: 10ms per second (for perfect look of the button-surface)
- first layer infill: 50ms per second (for perfect look of the button-surface)
- 3 perimeter, 5 top, 3 bottom layer, 15% infill
- WALL generator: Classic (in this case please no Arachne) !!!
- It is helpful to swith your Bambulab Printer from “Standard” Speed to “Quiet” - better quality and fit!
⚠️Stick the PTFE tube through the inner hole about 1/8 of an inch (2mm), like you can see this in the pictures and it will keep the tube properly in!⚠️
