Description

CAUTION - Very small parts, not suitable for small children!

My attempt at creating the smallest miniature toy car (with rolling wheels!) I could - in the shape of one of the most expensive cars in the world, the classic ferrari 250 gto!

Designed for a 0.2mm nozzle, this micro car is scaled around the 2mmx13mm dowel pin that is available from maker supply. The print has 3 parts - the car body, the wheels and an (optional) printed axle (if you don't want to use a dowel pin). I'd recommend the dowel pin though as far more fun to play with when it rolls well!

Assembly - tyres designed for push fit onto dowel pin. You can add the tiniest amount of super glue if you'd like for extra security.

Also provided versions I've painted in AMS. Tyres available in 2 colour version. The car available in a 2 and 3 colour version. The 3 colour version is really just for fun as the print time is a bit excessive.

Caution when printing the multicolour version of the car - you need to ensure your 0.2mm nozzle is calibrated well and your cooling settings are correct or you may suffer warping. Single colour version prints well

Had some fun experimenting for this model - my first attempt using something from the maker supply kit (ok a dowel pin is pretty simple, but it does make it roll better, and was the first thing that came to mind when I looked through the kit!).  Also experimenting with using Ai for design - used Luma Genie to create an initial model which I then edited for 3d printing (though frankly would have been quicker and higher quality to just model from scratch, but hey an interesting experiment!)
