Introduction:
The idea for the planetary gearbox emerged while building a roller blind control, where the Nema 17 motor lacked the holding torque necessary to maintain the position of the blind. This need led to the exploration of planetary gears, which are typically large and bulky. To overcome this, the gearbox was designed to be as compact as possible, ensuring it could be universally installed in a variety of projects. Additionally, the design focuses on being predominantly 3D-printable, allowing for quick and accessible reproduction.
Compact Design:
This planetary gearbox is designed for space efficiency, ideal for projects with limited space. Almost all parts can be conveniently and cost-effectively produced on a standard 3D printer.
Technical Specifications:
The 4:1 gear ratio optimizes torque transmission and enhances the performance of the Nema 17 motor, making machines more efficient and powerful. The finely tuned gears ensure smooth and quiet operation, while the sturdy construction from 3D-printed materials ensures lasting reliability.
