Articulated model of a neuron, featuring the myelin sheath on every section along the axon and vesicles at the axon terminal!
I made two versions, both of which are printed in place with no supports needed:
1 - Larger model with joints as hidden as possible. This version should not be scaled down much as the joints will fuse.
2 - Smaller model with more exposed but significantly more robust joints. This just fits on an A1 mini and can be scaled down further, and has a bit more range of motion.
Also included are AMS color and monotone versions of each. The print profiles use adaptive layer heights which help make the rounded portions look nice, especially with silk PLA.
V2 indicates that the model was improved based on feedback, the tolerances in the joints are greater and now print more cleanly.
