Description

I absolutely love Venegade's Yet Another Filament Sample - Keycard Edition, but I didn't need the overhang/hole information that that version created, which slows the print down. Instead, I really just needed a big space to add the brand, color, and material, and an expanded view of the filament's transparency levels.

Features

  • Thickness: 2.2 mm (2 mm without raised text)
  • Transparency preview from 0.2 mm → 2 mm at 0.2 mm increments.
  • Raised text compatible with AMS and non-AMS printers
    • If not using AMS, insert a filament change at the last layer to your desired text color
  • Enough space to label filament brand, color, and material in large font with room to spare
  • Retains original keychain loop of original model
  • Takes < 5 g of filament to print and takes only 16 minutes including Prepare Time (9.5 minutes Model Printing Time)!

Compatible Storage

This remix is known to fit in the following trays compatible with the original Keycard Edition samples:

Please let me know if you can verify that any other storage options are compatible with this model; it should fit in most that fit the original, unless they're made to tightly fit the thickness of the original 2 mm card!

Recommended Settings

If using anything other than the official print profile, the only settings I highly recommend you keep are:

  • Quality - Layer Height & Initial Layer Height: 0.2 mm
    • Otherwise, transparency gradient will not represent incremental layer heights correctly.
  • Quality - Wall Generator: Arachne
    • This will produce better quality & more precise text
  • Strength - Top Surface Pattern: Aligned Rectilinear
    • When printed with regular Rectilinear, the transparency looks odd if their top layers are printed in alternating directions. Aligned Rectilinear solves that problem.
