Welcome to the Retro Charm of 3D Printing!
Welcome to a fun journey into retro gaming with this decorative 3D printable GameBoy, nostalgia incoming !
I can’t do multicolor printing atm, so the design does not require an AMS.
Assembly Instructions:
Print the Pieces:
Start by printing all the required pieces. I recommend using colors that match the classic GameBoy look to keep painting to a minimum.
The 0.2mm nozzle is needed for the text part. I printed the whole with this nozzle, didn't try another size.
Warning : the main body need a break at layer 149 to swap the filament for a blue one.
(Optionnal) Painting :
If you opted to print in white or another single color, now's the time to paint each part of your GameBoy to match the original colors (or the one at your liking ^^). Use acrylic paints for the best effect, and perhaps a clear coat to finish for durability.
Assemble:
Fit the pieces together. The design ensures a snug fit, but you can use a bit of glue if necessary to secure everything in place (A & B buttons will need it).
A little bit of red filament will do the red led on the left of the screen :)
Hope you like it :)
