Description

As a kid growing up in the 90s, playing Nintendo Super Mario Bros. with my dad is the most fun memory. Recently revisited the game with an emulator. It inspired me to make this model, which is the classic scene in Level 1. Click "download STL" to download all plates or STL files.

Here is the rendering of the design after 3D modeling (modeled in Plasticity and colored in Bambu Studio):

Here is how it turns out:

I'm personally quite happy about the results in general.

The model is separated into 4 plates so each can be printed with <4 colors. It almost maxes out my A1. If you use an A1 mini, you would need to scale the model down a bit. I printed it with AMS, which is much easier but you can in principle print it without AMS too since different colors are at different heights. If you are going to do so, here is the color and height relationship breakdown so you can pause print and swap filament accordingly:

Plate 1 (sky background, texts, and cloud):

black 0.8 mm
blue 1.1 mm
white 1.4 mm

Plate 2 (ground, bricks, question block, and Goomba):

black 0.8 mm
brown 1.1 mm
baige 1.4 mm
yellow 1.7 mm

Plate 3 (bushes and pipe):

black 0.8 mm
dark green 1.1 mm
lighte green 1.4 mm

Plate 4 (Mario):

red 0.8 mm
dark green 1.1 mm
yellow 1.4 mm

If you are around my age, I'm sure it brings out some nostalgia for you too. Hope you enjoy it.

During the upload of the model, I found another user Fletch made a model of similar style. You can find it here if you are interested in this type of models.

Could you try to click "download STL" to download all plates? There should be files for plate 1-4. Let me know if it works!
