I made this deckbox because I have a bunch of decks which I want to bring to my monthly EDH / Commander groups. This deckbox is made extra deep so it can carry tokens and still display the commander on the front of the box. I put all my deckboxes into a camera bag, that way I can quickly grab the right decks out of the bag or off the shelf.
Check out my MTG Counters in Card Container for a sliding counter container that fits this deckbox's token compartment.
!! PRINT TIPS !!
- Always print this model with the AUX Fan disabled. Large and flat models have a tendency to warp when you enable this fan.
- This print looks and feels best with a matte filament. If you use a basic PLA you might have a hard time opening the lid. Consider using the customizer to increase the “LidEasierSnap” to 0.2
EDH Decks
This deckbox fits any number of double sleeved cards + whatever you can fit into the token compartment. As long as it fits on your print plate.
Showcase
The front of the deckbox can display your commander. This way you don't have to search through deckboxes or remember colors to find the right deck. Optionally you can insert the commander into a toploader to protect it. The toploader fits in the showcase slot.
Tight Lid
The lid is a tight friction fit to prevent the box from opening in a bag.
No Magnets or Other Parts
All you need to do is print the model. No other parts are required. Even the toploader is optional as a double sleeved commander also will not fall out of the showcase slot. But if you're using a toploader anyway, it fits nicely into this MTG Command Zone.
This model is an iteration on my previous deckbox. If you want to download the old version, you can find it here.
