I have attached an assembly drawing with BOM so that you can collect the parts in advance. These parts are easily obtainable, M3 button head screw in 10 or 12mm length and M3 brass insert (I used 4mm length).

I updated the images here to represent the second version which is 2 pieces.  This was a last minute gift for Mother's Day but my wife has already requested some alternate lithophanes (super easy) and a Christmas themed cover plate.
