Planter Self-watering Insert - 3"/75mm square

Sub-irrigated (self-watering) planter insert compatible with my 75mm square planter pot designs.

IMPORTANT: The new float indicator is very thin to reduce weight. Make sure your filament is thoroughly dry and calibrated to prevent leakage.

There are two versions of this insert

• Fill hole cutout with an optional floating water level indicator is included. The stick is a tight fit and you'll likely need to sand the sides on both ends to fit.
• No fill hole (mostly for use with multi-insert planter design)

On the bottom of the insert there are three built-in break-away support panels. You should be able to snap them off easily. The squares on the bottom have a single-layer of filament. It's optional whether you remove these strands. The purpose is to provide air flow and better drainage to prevent excess water in the soil. The filament strands should not affect functionality.

Updates

• 19 April 2025 - Updated the float indicator. Now uses just over 1g of material. Make sure to remove by flexing the build plate - do NOT try to pull it off of the build plate as it is thin and could tear apart easily.
