Description

A customizable photo frame with built in saw-tooth style hangers and an optional stand. There are 12 different styles to choose from, including one's for the Cat and Dog Moms out there!

There are blank versions for you to easily customize it with your own quote or vector directly within Bambu Studio. No modeling experience required.

Photo Dimensions, the teal outline represents a standard “Wallet” sized photo.
Wall hanger spacing

I recommend testing the ironing settings on a small print first. The back piece is designed to print either face up or face down based on your preference. My premade quotes are orientated face up to make it easier for people without an AMS to print it in multiple colors.

The frame consists of a front and back piece printed separately. They are attached with printable screws. PLA is more than strong enough for these. But be careful not over-tighten the screws as they are fairly small and can easily be sheared from twisting too much.

The stand is designed to attach directly to the back by replacing the 3 aligning screws with the longer ones provided. It's very secure and stable.

It looks great. The ironing on the white part made it look amazing. You would not be able to tell it was printed by just looking at the white part. Only 2 nit picking I have is that the heart shape made it annoying to cut the pictures. I would have like the cut to be square. Also, the inserts do not stay in place, I had to put some tape but it's not ideal and it doesn't stick well. There should be a little bump on the side to keep them in place

Thanks, I original started with square holders, but it doesn't work with the design unfortunately. There's not enough space for it. I use the holders as a template to draw a line on the photos to cutout, makes it a little easier. There is a small lip on the frame side to hold the backing inserts. Mine stay in place almost too well, I accidently broke one of the handles on an earlier version trying to get one out lol. I actually made the little handles bigger because of this for more strength. I'm not sure what would cause yours to be loose though. It could either be that lip didn't print correctly, or something with flow/dimensional accuracy, but idk. You could try scaling up the holders by 1-2% in the X and Y planes. That might be enough to engage the lip of the frame.

Thanks a lot for your reply, I have used the inserts to draw on the pictures but either I couldn't see the line very well (drawn on top) or it wasn't easy to place the insert correctly to draw the line (drawn on the back) but I understand the technical reason you did it this way. As for the inserts, I don't know why they keep on falling, my printer is well calibrated (I think 🤔) so it might be something on my side. I'll report back of I find something that might explain that I'll have a look at why the inserts are falling, maybe

I may make a proper template to make lining them up and cutting them out easier. It crossed my mind before but I never got around to it. As for the inserts being loose I'm not entirely sure either. I haven't had anyone else mention problems with them. But scaling them up ever so slightly should make them hold properly.

Unfortunate :(, that's why I recommend in the description to test the ironing settings first though. Ironing can vary from one filament to another. It's also important to calibrate your filament flow as it directly impacts ironing. I hope your next one comes out better! But if not, search for ironing tests and you'll find several that can help you find the best ironing settings for your filament.

thank you for the tips. Didn't read the instructions and was using PETG so it was a gamble. I'll update to 5 when finished as long as I don't have any other concerns arise.

Amazing. I gifted this to my Mom on last years Mothersday. She was very Happy. Could you also do a Frame for parrots and maybe also a neutral frame? I Will follow you for updates :-)

Thank you, but uh, last year? I only just created these. I think you might be mistaking it with something else :P. I did think of doing birds as well, and reptiles, etc. I will see about adding a parrot soon :).

A little late (I've been away from home), but I have added a new profile for birds starting with a Parrot. It only has a blank back for now though.

Love the frames. Would it be possible to add 5 photos for the dog frame? I just started doing 3d printing and this will be my first longest print.

Thanks, and yeah, I can make one with 5. It will have to replace the paw print, but I should be able to fit 2 hearts in it's place. If I don't get it added tonight, I'll get it tomorrow after I get home from work.

It's verifying now, should be available in just a moment! I've added it to the Dog Moms profile as additional build plates.

Thank you! I would recommend testing the ironing settings first to make sure it will look good with your specific filament. The settings in my profile work great for me using Jayo Silk PLA, but I don't know about other types.

I can't figure out how to edit. Can you help? I want to do these with Dad instead of Mom for father's day.

The text isn't directly editable as it was extruded from a vector design. There are blank backs that you can customize with your own quotes. If you're able to edit .svg's I can send you the file tomorrow when I get home so you could modify it. From there you can add it directly within Bambu Slicer by Right-clicking on the blank back, selecting Add Part, then Load. Then all you have to do is scale and position it where you want and change the colors if needed.
