Description

Boost Me (for free)

If you like this Cartridge Display Stand and decide to print it, a Boost to support me would be very much appriciated!

Place your Switch dock in this model for a nice way to store and display your games.

As I've accumulated a few more games, I needed to expand the cartridge storage. As a result, there are now three different models to choose from. A 3 tiered version, with storage for 18 games, a 4 tiered version holding 24 games, and a 5 tiered version holding 30 games.

Just drop the dock in the model, and place your games in it, and you're good to go.

Tolerances are a bit tight to make sure the games stay in place, so it may be a bit hard to insert the cartridges the first few times. This will loosen up after some use.

The stand is designed for the original Nintendo Switch. The dock for the OLED Switch is larger than the original, and is a very tight fit. It is possible to use this with the OLED version as well, but you might have use some force to insert it into the stand.

Holds 18, 24 or 30 Switch game cartridges.

the print turned out amazing on my A1. the tolerance was a little tight for inserting the games but I spent a few minutes inserting and removing some games to make it easier. simple yet awesome design! I need a 5th row option 😂🤘

Thank you for both the comment, the kind words, the boost, and the lovely pictures! After reading your suggestion for a 5 row option, I decided that I could spend a few minutes, and do just that. I still have my old CAD files, and it wasn't all that much work to do the modification. I'm currently printing it, and if everything goes allright, I'll update this page with the new print profile and some new photos tomorrow (it's getting kind of late here in Norway now). I've moved the whole tiered system a bit further up, so the top row of carts should sit a bit flusher with the top of the dock, and reduced the height of each tier with a few millimeters, but we'll still probably lose a little bit of the "cart visibility". I think it'll still be possible to clearly see what game you're picking out though, but we'll have to see tomorrow.

Printed easy and came out looking great in Galaxy purple! Son loves being able to display all his games, except now he's asking for more games to fill up the open spots... maybe I'll print some fake cartridges too...

Thank you! Great to see that it can work with the OLED Switch as well. I just bought one myself, and will probably be printing another stand for it soon. Love the picture, btw. Would it be okay if I used it as a cover photo for this page?

Great design. Fits both standard Switch and OLED Switch docks. Cartridge lots are a bit tight but it keeps the cartridges really snug. Best thing is that all the cartridge labels are visible so you can see all your games. If someone could design a cover to keep the dust off the cartridges that would be EPIC!!

Thanks! <3 I could try to find time for modelling a dust cover as well, but I'm not sure how I would do that without losing the ability to see all the labels, which was one of the main reason I made it like this in the first place. Do you have any good ideas?

I recently 3D-printed Nintendo Switch game storage rack, and it’s been a great addition to my gaming setup! It holds my cartridges securely, and the minimalist design looks sleek on my shelf.

I printed this but for some reason my switch stand was just a touch too big. In fact everything is tight on this. Im not sure if its a material issue or a scale issue but its super close. I was able to save the print but just removing the sides and then I filed out the slots a bit so the games are a touch easier to come in and out.

I'm not sure why it didn't really work for you, sorry. The tightness of inserting the carts was actually intentional, as it gets better after some use, but I don't see why the dock shouldn't fit. Great that you managed to salvage it though!

I actually just printed another one for my new Switch - the OLED version, and for that it is very tight. I did get it in, with some force, but this model was designed for the original switch. If yours is the OLED version also, that may have something to do with it.

I printed it for a freind who has all his gamecards sitting around and I had a deadline but did not print it in time because it failed twice. This is because my filament tangled and not the actual models fault. I successfully printed in in silver the third time and it’s cool. Five stars.
