THIS MODEL IS JUST A CUBE to test once you have your plate engraved!!! Please Read the entire Description for the Glowforge settings!
So if you're like me,.. you want your models and print to stand out and your customers aware of where it came from. Sure you can add a sticker, or even engrave your logo on the print once its done. But why?, when you can just engrave your logo on your build plate and have every single print come off with the logo embedded into the model.
I got this idea from how the PEI and PEX sheets with the almost holographic images embed those same color changing images on your prints. All it is,. is microscopic engravings. With a laser here beside my printers, I went to work testing settings to dial in what works and here are my settings I found to achieve a good finish.
Your milage may vary, and these are just suggestions. Please, only attempt if you are willing to possibly destroy your build plate if something were to go wrong. I suggest starting on the bambu high temp plates, as you can remove the sticker and replace it if you do happen to make a mistake. Also this is written with glowforge printers in mind, as I no longer have any other brand of printer or software associated with other lasers to test.
The following settings are for the BambuLab High Temperature Plates. I plan to add more at a later date especially if requested.
Thats it! Hit print and when its finished lasering your plate be sure to wash it with dish soap and water,.. then dry it completely.
I created this cube as a test print once your new plate is fully engraved and ready to test. New clean plates work best, but I suggest doing tests on older scuffed build plates just to be sure the settings are dialed in.
