Description

Since i´ve got a Iphone last year i wanted to switch to a Magsafe Phone holder. So i bought this one on Amazon and let me tell you that magnet is strong as f*ck so i ripped apart my hole Ventilation when i removed my phone as you can see in this Picture :

So the normal Magsafe holder isnt a Solution but because im a nerd i still wanted to use a Magsafe Holder and since im a cheap dude i wanted to 3D-Print one.

I took apart the Original Holder and removed the Screw in the Picture :

I then opened Fusion360 and made a holder that goes behind the Ventilation and fits on my A1 mini. So i cant destroy my Ventilation again, and it uses the original screw, and Magsafe Magnet :)

You can now Simply Press the Original “Ball” and the fitting Original Screw on it and tighten it down. It should look like this.

Next Step is you go to your Car, Remove the Vents (which is really easy i used a kitchen knife because i didnt want to get the right tools and it worked like a charm). You dont need to remove both fully i just did because i dont know.

Place the 3D Printed Holder behind the Vent and push them back in… Easy… right?

Have fun with a new Magsafe Holder which doesn´t destroy the Vent on Your audi when removing your phone from it :D

I would suggest you printing it in PETG or better because a car heats itself up pretty easily and PLA can deform… i didnt have PETG so i used PLA+ lets see how long it survives and i printed it on 100% infill because like i said… the magnet is strong.. really strong.
