Description

This sculpture is inspired by traditional Japanese Tiger/Lion drawings, featuring a foolish face and symbolizing fire.

It's my first model shared with the community. I want to give back some of what I've received over the years.

All the parts are on the same scale. I printed it with the following settings on a Prusa Mini:

  • 0.1mm Layer
  • 0.4mm nozzle
  • 5 perimeters
  • Snug supports 55°
  • Top contact Z Distance 0.25
  • Maximum height 100mm (the body)
  • Normal mode, no input shaper
  • PLA (Polymaker, Polyterra Black)

It can be scaled to the size that you want, depending on your printer. It fits a Prusa Mini, so I'm sure most of you can print it in one or two times.

I recommend importing all the STLs and scaling them together so every hole will fit, saving it as a project, and then starting to print the parts however you want.

I fixed the left arm, the tusks, and the toes. They were too thin for this size of printing and FDM. Let me know if you encounter any other problems; it should be perfectly fine with SLA.

Be careful with the thin parts during cleaning; they can break (ears, toes, fingers, thin shapes in general).

My print got some separated lines on the base and the right arm; this has nothing to do with the model but with my print!

The model is meant to be shared and printed for personal use. Open to remixes and not for sale.

UPDATE 05/07/24

Uploaded a full body STL. Now it's possible to print the whole print all at once, with supports. Probably tree supports would be the best.
