Description

Make All your herbs easy in the kitchen.

This planter ensures that your herbs stay fresh and hydrated.

If you dont yourself use fresh herbs, i know this will be a great gift for those who do.

The Design is made to be as simple as possible, and blend into any kitchen aesthetic.

There a two different patterns, because i could'nt decide witch i liked best.

So why not upload both of them :)

HOW IT WORKS

The self watering planter is designed to slowly absorb water from the reservoir (This needs to be filled up occasionally).

Its a one piece print (uni body) with a clear and visible water reservoir, so you dont need to lift a inner pot, or rely on a floater to tell you how much water is left.

Simply just look in the in the reservoir, and fill it up if needed.

There are 2 water inlets in the planters, where it is recommended to use a wicking material at the bottom.

This helps to absorb water into the soil slowly and prevent excess moisture in the soil.

To much moisture can reduce oxygen in the soil, damage fine root hairs, and render the root system unable to absorb water.

You can place a couple of cotton balls / cotton wool in the bottom of the pot.

The water inlets has a light slope towards the center, so all the water is utilized

Also included you find a funnel, to prevent dropping soil in the water reservoir (for aesthetic sake)

And a tiny shovel to fill up and arrange the soil in the planter.

Basic print settings:

  • Infill : 10%
  • Walls: 3
  • Top/bottom shell layers: 3
  • No support needed

Dimensions: Witdth is about 98mm, and a hight of 130 mm.

Nice planter. It did have a bit of difficulty with the bottom overhangs when printing without supports. Fortunately my wife actually liked the rough look of it, so I guess I'll be trying out fuzzy skin next.

what printer did you use to print what is in the picture? I have tried two printers (Bambu X1x and Prusa MK4) and it does not come out as prestine as what you presented. And could not get it to work with two colors.

Im sorry, but the first couple of pictures are renderings, and the last 2 are real prints. The multicolored renderings is just to give ideas for how you could print it. Otherwise i recommend printing in one color, and paint the disired areas, and sand smooth.
