Description

Self-centering template for marking and drilling holes for wooden pins or dowels (diameters 6/8/10mm) for joining boards in carpentry tasks.

System based on an adjustable parallelogram that allows to fasten thicknesses of wooden boards from 17mm to about 50mm in a very simple and reliable way. The distance between the drill holes is 30mm.

Includes designs for locators (locating pin), drill guides (6mm, 8mm and 10mm, although ideally these should be metal), as well as swivel heads for the screws connected to the central boom.

Enjoy a useful tool for both furniture makers and woodworking enthusiasts.

Steps to use it:

  • Adjust the positioning scale to determine the distance between the first hole and the end of the board.
  • After setting the position, select the drill bit that matches the drill guides to start drilling.
  • Use the positioning pin to set the hole in the third hole and continue drilling holes at the same distance.

The following are required for assembly:

  • 4 M4 screws about 16mm long for the joints.
  • 2 M4 screws about 14mm long to connect to the boom
  • 1 M4 screw about 12mm long for the scale

Note: No nuts are required as the holes already have threads.

Use the soldering iron to embed the plastic head to the screws that go in the central boom.

Very useful! This performed better than what I thought it would. Time will tell how long will the drill holes last without metal but so far they seem OK after 20 holes. The largest drill hole adaptor didn't print well (the wall's were too thin for .2mm and I didn't' want to use finer settings) but that's not the one I used so this is still get's full marks for me. Thanks!
