Description

Trashcan Anchors

Is your trashcan trying to escape from its dedicated spot by a couple of millimeters, inches,, meters???? Well! Now you can anchor that MF in place! With the help of this model and some double sided tape you can ensure that you will find your trashcan exactly where you left it, millimeter for millimeter!

This model was specifically designed for an oval trashcan, with a pedal. However, it should work for a lot of trashcans out there!

Three models available:

  • Small - 22mm L x 14mm W. 6.5mm channel width. 6mm Channel depth.
  • Medium - 29mm L x 17mm W. 7.5mm channel width. 6mm Channel depth.
  • Large - 29mm L x 17mm W. 7.5mm channel width. 9.5mm Channel depth.

Most should already have some sort of double sided tape at home, but if you don't I recommend this one (Affiliate link).

You will also need some scissors to cut the tape to the shape of the model.

Installation:

  1. Let the tape cure once you stick it to the model for about 1 hour.
  2. Use rubbing alcohol or just regular alcohol to clean the place where you will anchor the trashcan.
  3. Test fit the anchors and use something to lightly mark the spots on the floor where you want to stick the anchors.
  4. After sticking the anchors to the floor, let the tape cure for about 1 hour.
  5. Place the trashcan into the grooves once tape is cured.

Notes:

  • [2024-04/14] I have not yet tested the longevity of this part. I have printed 5 of large anchors for my large kitchen trashcan. Will update how it does in a month or so.
