Sealed Hepa Filter Holder

This model is designed to improve filtration efficiency by ensuring an airtight path from the printer's exhaust port to the Hepa filter. For my own testing, I checked for exhaust leaks using incense smoke while the printer's exhaust fan was at 100%, and there were no issues.

Initially, I designed it with the assumption that the gap between the filter's sides and the holder's interior would be filled with silicone sealant, and that's why I also created centering protrusions. However, as shown in the photo, applying sealant only to the back of the filter seems to work sufficiently. Choose the sealant application method according to your needs. Also, if you want a clean finish with the silicone sealant, I recommend masking. Otherwise, the finish will look like the one in the image.

Hepa Filter - D1 Air Purifier Replacement HEPA+ Activated Carbon Filter

Magnets - DIA 13mm x T 2.5mm. If the attachment is loose, try applying a thin layer of sealant to the magnet pocket.

Silicone Sealant - Any common silicone sealant will work, but allow sufficient time for it to cure after application.

Included model

A model for ensuring uniform thickness of the silicone sealant to avoid gaps is also included.

このモデルはプリンタの排気口からHepaフィルターの通過までの経路の気密性確保によるろ過性の向上を目的としてデザインしました。自分用のテストとして、プリンタの排気ファンを100%にながらお香の煙による排気漏れのチェックをしましたが問題はありませんでした。

当初、フィルタの側面とホルダーの内側の隙間をシリコンシーラントで埋めることを想定してデザインしており、そのためにセンタリングの突起もつくりましたが、写真の様にフィルタ背面へのシーラント塗布のみでも十分に機能するように思います。シーラントの塗布方法は必要に応じて選択してください。 また、シリコンシーラントをきれいに仕上げたい場合はマスキングすることをおすすめします。しない場合は画像のような仕上がりになります。
