Description

Gravity Phone Holder V2

Introducing the Gravity Phone Holder V2, the next evolution in smartphone mounting technology. Building upon the success of its predecessor, the Gravity Phone Holder V2 offers enhanced features and improved functionality to elevate your mobile experience to new heights!

With an upgraded design, the Gravity Phone Holder V2 boasts even smoother operation and greater stability. The gravity-activated mechanism has been fine-tuned for seamless one-handed usage, allowing you to effortlessly mount and dismount your device with precision and ease!

What do I need to assemble it?

You need:

  • 1 x rubber band
  • 4 x M3 bolts ( around 8mm )
  • 2 x M3 nuts

How do I assemble it?

It is relatively easy to assemble the Gravity Phone Holder V2! Just follow the steps below:

Step 1: Insert the bolts into the back of the body.

Step 2: Following step 1, you screw on the mount onto the back of the body (I've updated the mount and the vent clip).

In the updated version, there is only the ventclip. The clip just needs to be bolted onto the body with 2 M3 bolts and nuts.

Step 3: Insert the rubber band and the gears (the rubber band is optional).

Step 4: Screw on the lid, and you're done! Now this is optional, but you can lube it up by spraying the middle hole on the lid with some lubricant.

Tips and tricks

No support needed for any of it!

Maybe put a brim around the gears if you have bad bed adhesion.

If using a rubber band, find a size that isn't too large (loose) or too small (tight).

Strength Issue: The concept is a great idea however, it struggles to hold onto the vent snugly But it serves its purpose

I'll check to it, will maybe add some thickness to the clip

Might I make a simple suggestion instead of having just one clip that sticks into the vent have it as a dual clip one towards the top and one towards the bottom, which would create greater stability also, it would probably benefit to add alligator teeth to the inside of the clips, which would also help grasp tighter

good idea, I will consider it. although the vents are pretty different for each car, so you would need variable spacing between the clips

"In the updated version, there is only the ventclip. The clip just needs to be bolted onto the body with 2 M3 bolts and nuts." Ok, so how do we do this when the clip has no holes for bolts? And a clearer instruction for the rubber band might come in handy, the image doesn't really help.

You hold the nut in place while tightening the bolts.

Very nice and clean print using ASA. I just made a custom modification to the clip for my car vent. Now it holds pretty nice.

Other Issues:sorry but this just does not work, printing or design is no excuse for non functioning waste of time snd filament! this thing does NOT even fit together much less stay in a car lol and it's a joke to think it can even old a phone. one bump and your phone falls out. it needs to be rated badly so no one else gets trucked I to wasting their time. print quality is irrelevant

I'm sorry to hear that... I'll try to improve on the overall design, and the vent snap on function.

I've changed some of the features... Should clip onto your car way better now, and even be easier to assemble. If your phone sits to loose in the phone holder, have you tried with a looser rubber band? (or none at all)?

you could just say what could use improvement or what didnt work. dont need to trash it. theres a lot of reasons it might not have worked for you. Phone, type of air vent, even the possibility you drive as angrily as you review

Printed in PLA. Quick and easy to print! I will do some tests in my car to see if it’s good for my usage and then I will print it in ASA.
