Description

Wind spinner was beautiful and spun well, but I wanted smoother spin and to hopefully get it moving in lighter breezes. This modification uses the ball bearings I had on hand and I have linked below what I originally bought. These slide very snuggly onto the main body and slide in easily for the wings. I have not tested outside yet, so I might have to slightly increase tightness or just glue them in place. In practice, they stay on well.

Edit: Ended up putting a touch of glue on to keep the wings in place on the bearings. It's just slightly too loose. Adjust accordingly or just glue like me.

I wanted to give it a go and I think i did a great job! it's just for a particular type of bearing lol! After testing, its a slight bit loose on the wing end, so i just used a touch of glue.

Sure! Shouldn't be hard to adjust. In my file its just a negative space modifier. Slightly shrink it by like .1 and you're probably slightly too tight.

I may be blind. Both the original and this modification 3mf look the same. When I have both opened up side by side everything appears to me to be identical. The only thing I can see changed is the file size. Did the right file get uploaded? Am I just overlooking something?

My modification only modifies/has 3 parts, the main base, and the 2 pieces that connect to the wings. The main base has a 8mm connector for the ball bearing and the wing connector has a larger mouth to accommodate the ball bearing.
