Description

Another addition to the crochet collection, this time it's a cute bird! Just in time for spring!

The photos show the model at its default scale with a height of around 60mm. This time the crochet texture is more pronounced so it may be possible to scale it down if you want an even cuter version!

Print Guide:

Prints in one piece and can be painted either by hand or in the slicer if you have an AMS. I wanted to switch up the colours this time so feel free to change them to suit your style! I have included a single colour print profile as well as a painted -multi-colour print profile.

Please ignore any prompts to add supports. There are some very small overhangs due to the crochet texture, but they all print fine!

Walls/Perimeters: Any. Purely decorative so doesn't need any strength.

Infill: Any. Same as above.

Supports: None

Layer Height: ≤ 0.2mm. Model was printed at 0.2mm layer height. A smaller layer height would give more detail

Material: Any. PLA used here but any can be used

tutto perfetto, presenta solo qualche piccolo problema nei layer sopra la base perché si allarga un po' e tende a collassare, ma nel complesso ottimo oggetto

Wow, I love your creations ! Please, how did you do this knitted effect ? Is there a tutorial somewhere or a tool ? I would love try this on my own models :D

Thank you and I'm glad you like the models! I can't reveal exactly how it's done but I use Blender and a combination of sculpting and various modifiers to achieve the crochet/knitted look. I would very much encourage everyone to give Blender a go and see what you can create!!

Other Issues:Not sure why you would have a .3 flushing volume. Lots of color bleeding, had to reprint with better values.

I’m sorry you had issues with printing. Flushing volumes should be tuned to your specific filament and colours, these were just generic settings.
