Description

Make All your herbs easy in the kitchen.

This planter ensures that your herbs stay fresh and hydrated.

If you dont yourself use fresh herbs, i know this will be a great gift for those who do.

 

 

The Design is made to be as simple as possible, and blend into any kitchen aesthetic.

There a two different patterns, because i could'nt decide witch i liked best.

So why not upload both of them :)

 

HOW IT WORKS

The self watering planter is designed to slowly absorb water from the reservoir (This needs to be filled up occasionally).

Its a one piece print (uni body) with a clear and visible water reservoir, so you dont need to lift a inner pot, or rely on a floater to tell you how much water is left.

 

Simply just look in the in the reservoir, and fill it up if needed.

 

 

There are 3 water inlets to the center, where it is recommended to use a wicking material at the bottom.

This helps to absorb water into the soil slowly. You can place a couple of cotton balls / cotton wool in the bottom of the pot.

I recommend filling wicking material so it is above the reservoir edge, then fill with soil, and your herb of choice.

 

The water inlets has a light slope towards the center, so all the water is utilized

 

 

UPDATE - I have added a funnel, for making it easier to 

fill soil in the planter, without spilling soil in the water reservoir.

 

 

Basic print settings:

  • Infill : 10%
  • Walls: 3
  • Top/bottom shell layers: 3
  • No support needed

Dimensions: Soil area has a diameter of 80 mm, and a total hight of 108 mm.

this turned out great! this one ended up with a couple pretty substantial seams but the most visible one would be buried anyway. going to try another on vase mode and see how it goes.

Nice looking model! mine leaked from the bottom, but that probably had more to do with the polyterra filament it was printed with.
