Description

Why carry your keys as a jingling mess if you can carry them on a beautiful organizer?

As a key organization aficionado, I've designed a customizable solution that tidies up your keys and adds a personal touch.

Mix and match colors and textures to create a one-of-a-kind look! To build the simple version, you only need standard M3 screws, nuts, and washers.

With plenty of possible combinations of colors and textures, the sky is the limit :)

There are 2 versions of the KeyCarry. Here is what you will need for each:

  • Full - As the name says, this is the version with no compromises and the one I use myself. You will need:
    • Printed parts
    • Glue to glue the scales
    • 5mm Chicago Screws (also known as Book or Bookbinding screws). If your keys have narrow holes, you can try to search for 4mm screws or drill a larger hole in the key. I bought this kit from Amazon
    • Washers that fit the Screws you bought

  • M3_Screw - Version adapted for using standard M3 screws
    • Printed parts
    • Glue to glue the scales
    • M3 Screws, nuts, and washers

  • M3_Screw_No_Scales - This is a simplified version compatible with Standard M3 Screws. You will need:
    • Printed parts
    • M3 Screws, nuts, and washers

If you would like to see more models like this, consider giving it a boost 🚀🚀🚀 .

It helps me buy filament and material to prototype and test new models!

How to assemble

Step 1: If you printed the full version, glue the scales on their respective parts. Otherwise, skip this step.

Step 2: Place the longer part of the screw (or the screw itself for the M3 version) in both holes of the top part and place it on a table.

Step 3: Add the keys to the top screw, alternating with washers. So if you were to add two keys it would mean Keyholder half - washer - key - washer - key - washer - Keyholder half. At this point, you might discover that you need a different size of screw.

Step 4: Add washers to the bottom screw until they are at the same level as the keys. Make sure there is not much space left on the screws and add extra washers accordingly. I uploaded some spacers you can print for the bottom screws. I recommend using a brim to avoid print failures. Print a couple of each size to make sure it matches the thickness of your keys.

Step 5: Place the top half and close the screws

Step 6: Enjoy it!!!

Printed very well, used all the included washers to fit 4 keys with a couple 20 mm length M3 screws and nuts. Put a little loctite on the nuts and it fits beautifully.
