Description

I wanted to make a fun castle for my kids to organize their bathroom items. It holds up to 4 toothbrushes, 1 medium sized soap bar, and 2 different toothpastes. The soap has a drain underneath that discards water into the sink via the little waterfall. My kids love it.

Printing:

This is printed in 3 parts.  The castle can have up to 4 colors.  Modifying text for names on the tower can be done via the object Text Shape parameter.

The drain at the bottom is printed in 2 colors and you can choose if you want the mixed color look of the water or solid color by removing the flush into objects infill under other.

The soap holder and drain are printed in variable layer height to keep detail.  The caste is fixed at .2mm layer height.

Important

I highly recommend printing with glue on the plate as the thin parts of the castle make it prone to failing on non glue surfaces.  Once you add glue it prints great.

Hope you enjoy!

I'm sorry, not sure why that happened. Seems more of a printer issue than model as it knocked the pillar over. I printed this at least 3 times on my printer and although I broke the weaker pillar while printing when picking it up, the print never knocked the pillar over.

yea when I went to check on it, the thing was knocked over, I had glue on and everything, I’m sure it was a printer issue, but I made an edit that I’ll cut out for more support in tinkercad. still, GOING to print it though:) thank you for the stl.

I added a brim based on one of the comments but don’t know if it was necessary. I printed on a glued textured plate and didn’t have any issues.

I had made it thicker for the print. once our together it should be fine. if it's still breaking let me know and I can thicken it some more.

failed with a glued cool plate.

I had no issues with it sticking to a glued plate. Maybe try cleaning the plate first and then using fresh glue.

The model has failed twice now where the middle columns connect to the cross front. used the strong columns profile.
