Description

This is an updated version of my previous XL Trash Can designed to be printed in ‘Standard’ mode, bringing extra strength and a solid feel.

I have provided an optional flap-style lid, which raises the height to around 30 cm (1 foot). The body is 210mm in diameter (8.25 inches or so).

The lid requires a spring to hold it shut. I used an extension spring measuring 5.5x25.5mm. See the photo below.

The sample print was created with Bambu PLA Sparkle (Onyx) mixed with Basic PLA (white).

The design has not been created to be scaled. If scaled down, the walls on the main bin may be too thin to be sturdy. With the lid, the gaps will be reduced, causing the lid to not perform correctly.

Please give me feedback on the design and printing experience. I would greatly appreciate some rating stars, a nice comment, and a photo.

Whoops I posted on the wrong one. Is this to be expected? Seeing some rough part on the seam.

It's a trash can so it's realllllly not a big deal haha, but was curious if it was common or I gotta do some maintenance on my printer.

Thanks for reaching out, @para. It's a fair question. The good news is that it's not your printer but rather the settings for your filament. Use the Bambu Studio to create a calibration of the Pressure Advance for that filament. See the instructions at https://wiki.bambulab.com/en/software/bambu-studio/calibration_pa. After performing this, you will notice a big difference. It's also worth running the calibration on the flow rate. Ensure that you select the newly created settings for the filament before printing.

Really strong print for PLA. A seal on the lid would be kinda nice.
