Description

Cheaper version of the modular drawer for filament storage. PVC pipes instead of slides.

The length of the drawers in this design can be used in a flexible way.
But all pvc pipes should be cut in the same length.
Diameters of the pipe should be 20mm ( 4 times ) and 16mm ( 2 times )
( the links are to show an example of what I used )

All holes are M3 based. Length of screw used: 16mm-20mm.
Total filament used: 315g ( 15% infill )

Assembly

  • Drawer
  1. Take the Front Plate and 4 x 20mm pipes and fit them in the holes.
(you can already screw them in.)
  2. Take the Front Frame and slide it over the 2 bottom pvc pipes.
  3. Take the Back Plate and place the 4 pipes in the holes.
( only the top 2 should be screwed in)
  • Guiding “system”
  1. Take the Back Frame put the 2x16mm pipes in their holes and screw them in.
  2. Secure the Back Frame to your rack ( screw them in/secure with a clamp)
  3. Align the Back Frame with the guiding system
and slide the 20mm pipes over the 16mm pipes.
  4. Secure the front plate with screws in the front.

This is version 1.
It is a quick remake without trying to look at the original design to much.
