Description

The self-watering plant bubble!

Are you a plant serial-muderer, og just someone who doesn't want to waste time on watering your plants all the time? Well, here's the solution for you! We've got the self-watering plant bubble, which is both fast and easy to print, and easy to use!

How to use?

1. Screw off the lid on the top of the self-watering plant bubble.

2. Fill with water while blocking the other end with your finger.

3. Screw back on the lid (tip: put a rubber ring or rubber band on the screw to ensure that it is water tight).

4. Stick it in the soil :)

Recommended print settings

Layer height: 0,2 mm

Supports: No

Infill: 20% on the screw, 100% on the plant bubble

Everything else is up to you, based on your preferences!

On one hand, it looks very nice! Great design! But, it's really tiny (you can scale up of course) and REQUIRES a rubber o-ring. Without that it will leak water if upside down and air when placed in a pot (leaking air means water drains out right away). I used the Vase Maker tool (right here on this site) and designed a "vase" with a similar stem but that has a sealed base, solved my issue. I don't mean to hate on your design, but losing the screw cap entirely would make it better.

Yes you are totally correct - I just figured it would make the refilling and cleaning process a lot easier :p. So there are both upsides and downsides I guess :)

but you can probably use a normal rubber band as well, most people have that

Printed well. An R-12 o-ring fits the stopper.
