Description

A honeycomb storage wall for the AMS riser v2 (https://makerworld.com/en/models/133452#profileId-144737)
The HSW has a rounded border, and 2 slots for the hangers to connect to.
The hangers go into the connector ports on the AMS Riser:


 

 

You'll need to bend the hangers slightly when inserting them into the ports.
I printed it in PETG, but PLA should work just as well.

Connecting the plates together:
One of the print plates has 5 connectors - 4 dual connectors and 1 quad connector. 
The quad connector goes in the center and connects all 4 panels, and the dual connectors are placed on all sides to connect adjacent panels.

I love this design and the idea to use the side wall of the printer. If you look at my pictures you will see that I'm obsessed with hexagons. But, just 3 stars, because in my point of view, there could be some improvements.
Strength Issue:The hangers are too weak and have too much play. The clip part in particular broke off twice when I removed the support material The plate is wobbly, especially with faster prints, of course you can stick it on with double-sided tape, but then you don't need the hangers.

I’m not sure using double sided tape to keep it from rattling is the same as not needing hangers. With the hangers the double sided tape only has to worry about keeping it affixed to the side, but without hangers the tape would have to support the weight of the structure and any attachments. That is quite a big difference.

I think you underestimate the modern double sided tapes. This picture is just a sample, if you are using 10cm of this tape it will hold 10kg. I have no idea what to hang on this wall with more than 10kg? But I didn't mean that in a bad way, I love this design and am very grateful that it exists!

Thanks for the review! The reason I made the hangers hollow is to allow them to flex when you slide them into the riser ports (you have to bend them a little). Still, I think they are plenty strong for supporting the HSW with all the attachments. As for the supports removal - I agree it can be a bit challenging to remove, but I haven't had any issues with the clips breaking off when I removed them (and I printed like a dozen of them when I tested this model). I could orient them on their side to make the supports easier to remove, but that will create a rough surface on the side of the insert which may make it harder to slide into the port. Thanks for posting a version with support filament! BTW that also works with PETG (if you print with PLA). If you have any suggestion how to fix that bending of the HSW, let me know :)
