Update - 4/10/2024
Changed the design of the case to snap together better and added a little more clearance to the top so the wires fit better.
Design
This compact case houses the esp32 and barrel jack to control and power your LED strip. This case fits the ESP32 WROOM-32 TYPE-C CH340C. This case features slots for mini and regular zip ties to fasten or keep the case closed as well as access to the USB-C port and buttons.
Assembly Instructions
- First solder wires to the VIN, GND, and the pin used to control your LED strip. Follow this guide to ensure your wiring and setup is correct. The wires for powering the ESP32 from the barrel jack should be about 55mm or 2.15in. You can put the ESP32 and barrel jack in the top part of the case to see if the wires will reach but DO NOT solder with the ESP32 in the case or you might melt the case.

- Place the ESP32 and barrel jack into the top part of the case, you may need to apply pressure to get them to snap into place.
- Take the power and ground wires from both the ESP32 and LED light (I always use a JST connector between my LED lights and ESP32) and put both ground and power cables into their corresponding connector in the barrel jack. IMPORTANT: Ensure ground is in the (-) slot and power is in the (+) slot or you may fry your ESP32 and LED strip.

- Now plug in the LED lights to test if everything works then snap the case together.
NOTICE
Please note that since this esp32 can only handle 3.3 to 5 volts your LED strips and power supply should be 5 volts since both the strip and esp32 are running off the same power. Also, not all the barrel jacks are the same size so you may need to apply force to get it in or shave off a bit of the port casing.
