Description

Summary

got the rotary table and had to make a bunch of special sized t nuts, studs, an clamps to mount it to my mill and parts to it so i made this box to have a place to put it so it would be in something and not collecting dust an alittle storage area for all the t nuts studs an clamps thats used just with this rotary table. the one i printed is 3mm thick walls, i have one that i designed that is 5mm thick walls but the 3mm is what i printed to test everything an it all seems to fit. mine is v1 so the crank handle is touching the lid even after removing the little handles so v2 is 3mm taller so should give plenty of room cause mine touches but i can still get the lid on so its just barely touching but i removed the set screw an removed the handle as well an it also fits just fine in the little storage area. u will have to remove the handles from the crank wheel if u decide to leave it on but there should be enough room in v2 to leave it on if removed the little handles. any suggestion let me know or if u have the other style of rotary table let me know if ur interested in a case for it an ill try to come up with something for it if i can get a model to use as a reference an someone can confirm the dimensions for me or if u want to use the 5mm thick wall just leave a comment. let me know how it works for u if u make an use it. i made it so there was enough room that u should be able to put foam or a shop rag around the rotary table if u want, i always drap a oil soaked rag over stuff like this when i put it in the storage box to help keep it from rusting. i can have something start rusting in a days time even with me using them daily an constantly oiling everything to try to prevent the rust so this is one of the reason i make cases for everything in a attempt to keep the stuff from rusting cause if its left laying for any period of time it will rust unless its liberally coated in a layer of oil so cases with oil soaked rags help deal with that. hopefully someone else will find it useful.
