Description

Greetings everyone, and thank you for joining me to explore my Auto Tensioning Spool Donor Mod.

This innovation exerts pressure on the donor spool for optimal winding. If you're not attaching the mod to a piece of wood, I suggest using glue to stick over the two mounting holes.

I highly recommend printing the block that rubs against the spool in TPU with two outer layers and 15% infill.

No additional supports are needed, but please refer to the accompanying image. You'll find two built-in supports that can be effortlessly removed after printing the Attachment Block.

Now allows more tension settings on the springs, Less Hardware required. I had to keep at least 2 heat inserts for the bottom block to allow the arms to rotate freely, i tried to use 3d printed threads but they kept on snapping due to small parts.

Heat inserted used: M3 X D5.0 X L4.0 - (MOST COMMON SIZE) This is a Voron Spec heat insert

2 x Heat inserts

Supports up to 80mm Wide Spools, i put a lot of time into making this so don't forget to share your photos setup and give my model a honest review! allways open to making improvements! ( i am a new 3D CAD developer)
