Description

This tree has been printed with PETG and PLA without issue.

  • The tree does not need any supports.
  • The star will need supports. I printed it in a few directions, I found the direction I have it was the easiest way to print the star.

The star will fit in the hole at the top of the tree. Depending on your tolerances you may need a drop of superglue to hold it.

Print Settings

  • Layer Height – 0.2mm (or 0.4mm with an .8mm nozzle)
  • PETG or PLA
  • Infill — 15%
  • Perimeters – 3
  • Top Fill Pattern – Rectangular
  • Bottom Fill Pattern – Rectangular

I absolutely love these! Just adorable. However, the supports on the tiny star are so strong that they break the spindle off when try to remove them. Any suggestions?

Oh no! I can see from your picture that the star snaps on the bottom, and probably is due from the use of silk material that create a stronger bond between the object and the support. I can try to update the profile and add a plate dedicated to the star with easier-to-remove supports, is it OK for you?

Done, see image attached, there is a "page" (the 2nd one) dedicated to the star with different support settings, hope can be helpful! After trying it, would you mind changing the rating to 5 stars? That would be a very nice gesture! :)

An awesome model. Not sure it needs a brim but printed fine either way.

I saw this and was: Now we need to add lights! Can you add 30 holes for mini led lights battery powered? Could also scale 122.11 so you can have more room for lights and candy! That would be the max size for Bambu X1C printers. Might need to open a small hole at the top and make plug to cover the hole so you can even light the start. Here are the perfect lights on amazon. https://www.amazon.com/Operated-Assorted-Valentines-Decoration-Christmas/dp/B016N2ZZKI/ref=sr_1_58?keywords=battery+mini+christmas+led&qid=1704841312&sr=8-58 Then this would be perfect to hold candy to give out during our annual Christmas light show each year. Free candy and a show. Only way to make it better is to get the candy from a lighted christmas tree candy dish!!! I ordered the lights already. I can send you the measurements when they come in.
