Welcome to my debut submission on Maker World!
Embracing Fusion360 for the first time, I've poured several days of meticulous design work into crafting this enclosure. With precision measurements taken directly from the boards at hand, I've tailored this design to accommodate the unique dimensions of the NodeMCU v3 ESP8266-12F Board, measuring approximately 58x31mm.
Primed for WLED projects, this enclosure boasts thoughtful features such as cutouts for the Micro-USB connector and an optional wiring route beneath—an arrangement I personally favor. Additionally, I've included cutouts for easy access to the IO connectors on the board's underside.
The lid of the enclosure is engineered for a snug and secure "Clip" fitting, ensuring that once affixed, it remains firmly in place until intentionally lifted with a blade or slim object.
For optimal results, I recommend printing at 0.20mm standard settings to ensure the posts supporting the PCB maintain a precise fit. While I've showcased prints in High Speed PLA+, rest assured that PLA or PETG will yield equally impressive results.
Eager to refine and enhance this design, I eagerly welcome any constructive feedback or innovative ideas from this vibrant community. In fact, I'm already in the process of developing a subsequent version that incorporates housing buttons for flash and reset functionalities, among other enhancements.
Your suggestions are not only valued but integral to the evolution of this project.
Thanks for looking,
