Description

Based on the Bambu pegboard modplates, prints faster than the original, print looks cleaner than the armor plates.

I really wanted to like the armor plates but the layer lines look terrible and it's hard to print without all sorts of issues. The pegboard plates look much nicer printed because the outer face has the bed texture and prints more easily because they lay flat. These are a dimensional copy from the official Bambu Lab pegboard plates. Assembly of the tabs is supposed to be tight and may require a mallet.

The original pegboard sides from Bambu takes 925g of filament and 31.5 hours to print. Plus 40g and 1 hour for the open rear plate.

The solid sides based on the pegboard takes 983g of filament, just marginally more, but only 25.5 hours to print because it requires less moves. Plus another 120g and 4 hours for the solid rear plates.

The solid rear plate allows access to the belt tensioners, the PTFE frame hole, and the PTFE guide mounting holes.
