Description

I wanted a different take on the current butterfly decorations and hope I came up with a new twist.

It has several features:

  • Vibrant Wing Colors: Each of the four inlays and the main body can be customized with different colors.
  • Angled wings: After printing, the wings can be artfully angled, adding depth and a captivating 3D effect. It’s like your butterfly is ready to take flight!
  • Layered Depth: The print cleverly maintains varying depths for the colored parts, creating a lifelike appearance. Your butterfly will stand out among the blooms.
  • Material Adaptability: Even when mixing basic PLA or silky PLA, this design holds it together.
  • Sturdy Sticks: Simple yet essential, the included sticks allow you to mount your butterfly securely. Not only does this keep it in place, but it also ensures those perfectly angled wings for your décor to truly take flight.
    • There are three lengths to choose from: 10, 15 and 20 cm.

Print directly from app. Alternatively bring it into Bambu Studio and set the color for each object.

The sticks are located on the second plate, pick the desired size.

Remember to angle the wings slightly before mounting them carefully on the stick.

I'm new and would love to print this, but I'm confused how when it's separate parts. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I don't know if you are on app or computer but all your bed to do is to print plate 1 once to get the butterfly. (pick the colors you want) Then select plate 2 and delete the two sticks you don't want (computer) or print parts -> uncheck (app) so only one of left and then print that plate too. Good luck!

Inwas on the computer and it kept telling me that parts were over each other and would cause a problem printing. Then when I clicked on the butterfly it separated the parts.

fell apart removing from plate

That should not happen. In which way did it separate? Can you show a picture so I can understand what went wrong and improve the design of need? Without information out may very well be poor bed adhesion, wet filament, mixing PLA and PETG or a bunch of other reasons that have nothing to do with the design itself. Especially with no one else reporting the same issue after so many downloads.

I am sorry I don’t have a picture. it was just too thin, it stuck to the plate very well. I let it cool and carefully removed it but it ripped. I did try to do 3 on the same plate.

Came out perfectly. Guess it is best practise to form them while they're warm.

I'm happy you like them! Never considered it might be easier when warm, I just did it right away. I'll keep that in mind for my next design.
