Turns out the battery pack did fail on my Stalker LR Lidar so I designed a pretty janky replacement handle for it.
Saves you from having to pay $100+ on a new battery etc..

Inside the unit is a DC to DC Voltage (Buck Converter). I've set it to 8V. 
I used some terminals I lad laying around from an old Car Audio Project to form the terminals that make contact with the LIdar gun itself.

Then I double-sided taped the Buck converter to the inside of the handle.

Enjoy my bad soilder joints and failed attempts before finally getting it working..

Printing Note:
I printed it standing correct side up.

On the inside you will have some overhangs that are not supported but it doesn't matter as you cannot see them once you have assembled the unit.

If you want you can print it upside down with supports if you want it cleaner.
