Description

Mazda Miata Side Skirt (NA)

The download file has both Driver and Passenger sides ready for print. The logos have been pre-flipped to allow for correct orientation.

I used Bambu Lab Basic PETG for my version.

For this print, I would opt for more walls over infill. I recommend 4+ walls

Additional Resources needed:

There are two lateral holes one 6mm and one 8mm respectively.

The length of each hole is 55"

Preferably carbon rods are used, to strengthen the skirt, but wood or similar lightweight rods will work the same.

Print settings:

Use PETG or ABS or ASA or stronger material with better heat resistance.

Layer Height: 0.28mm base with variable layer height

Perimeters: 4+

Infill: 10% Gyroid

Support: None

Would you be able to modify these to fit a NB if I provided you a 3D Scan of the car? Otherwise, if you provide me the .STEP file I could do this, but I'm not sure if you'd prefer to share the .STEP or modify yourself (since should be relatively easy, just a matter of adjusting dimensions/holes)! Thanks

Idk know about 3d scans, but I'm not against trying. I have an NA in my garage so it was easy for me to make adjustments and iterations as needed it took me four tries to land on this model. I don't think I want release the .step file as I use a free version of Fusion and I'm not sure I could even save that file type. Armature here, so my skills are quite limited. If I can link up with a friend locally that has an NB I could make it work.

Replying to @AviatorMD :
Free version of Fusion can still export .STEP (STEP is a universal 3D model file type)! Since I have the 3D scan of a NB, it'd fit first time, I'd use the STEP to be intersected by the 3D scan and would just open up the holes to screw in where the fender is screwed in!
