A collection of five Spring-themed lithophanes. These lithophanes are 144mm x108mm and are designed to be used with the Bambu backlight and frame. Since the Bambu backlights always seem to be out of stock, I designed my own frame using readily available photo booth lights. Click on the picture below to see my lithophane frame design.
These lithophanes were printed with the Bambu CMYK bundle at .07mm layer height. I used PIXEstL to create my own color profiles and create stls with 7 layers of color instead of the traditional 5 layers generated from other programs. These also print well using IIIDMax Fuchsia, Light Blue, Yellow and White.
Profiles are included for X/P/A1 series printers and for the A1 Mini. All were printed using a .4mm nozzle (with .3mm line width) and .07mm layer height. These can also be printed with a .2mm nozzle if desired, but the .4mm nozzle with a .3mm line width setting gets very close to the quality of the .2mm nozzle. The raw stl files for all the lithophanes are included in the download section packaged as zip files.
Printing Instructions
The .3mf files are large (~75MB) and take a minute to load and slice. Please be patient. The print profiles have all of my preferred settings, but since the .07mm layer height is less than the .08mm specified in the printer settings, you may get the following error. Make sure and select “Ignore” or Studio will automatically set the layer height to .08mm. It's perfectly fine to print at .07mm.
