A very satisfying fidget toy to play around with. Mesmerizing sliding motion down the screw when you flip it. Also works as a linear actuator.
I designed this after playing around with a linear actuator that I found very satisfying, so I played around with the design until it worked as a fidget. All offsets are included in the design. If it still doesn't work, scale the nut up/down slightly. Worked fine for me. It may be sticky slightly at first, but if you use it for a few minutes/ clean up stringing, it works perfectly.
Prints in 3 pieces, no glue or hardware needed. High pitch screw threads ensure a clean connection without failure, and lengthened hole ensures a barely noticeable seam.
Settings:
Align so that the caps are down (like in photo 2).
0.2mm layers (I use at least) but go whatever
100% scale is a good idea (tolerances, but you could probably get down to 50%)
1.2 mm shell, 20% gyroid infill- strong enough for frequent use.
I use a brim for adhesion (but it should be fine without it)
Ironing- your choice (I use it)
NO SUPPORT- prints fine without, support clogs the threads.
