Description:

My Sculptor 078s gets moved back and forth between drip and espresso range quite a bit and I was having trouble getting back to exactly where it was previously. Not anymore!

Stock “step size” according to Timemore is 28 μm from 5-18 (coarse tic marks) and 5.6 μm from 0-5 (fine tic marks). This indicator breaks down the large tic marks into 5 using an incremental scale for a step size of 5.6 μm, and breaks down the small tic marks into 5 using a vernier scale for a step size of 1.12 μm!

Print Settings:

0.4 mm nozzle, 0.2 mm (or less) layer thickness, 1-2 wall lines. Filament shouldn't really matter, PLA and PETG tested.

The label makes things a bit easier to read when starting out but it's not required. If you print the label, print (paper) 100% size.

Assembly:

There are a few variants, all press into the side slots of the grinder (press from the front). The label (if desired) can be attached with glue stick or pretty much whatever adhesive you feel like.

Depending on manufacturing tolerances, you may need to wrap the center boss and/or pin of the dial with a thin layer of tape to get rid of extra gap.

How to Read:

Incremental (coarse): Get the ones digit from the center indicator. If it's before the 0.5 tic mark, use the first column of numbers to get the tenth - use the second column to get the tenth if it's after the tic mark.

Vernier (fine): Get the ones digit from the center indicator and the large tic marks, and the tenths digit from the center indicator and the small tic marks. Get the hundredths digit from the vernier indicator that most closely matches a tic mark.
