About:

This birdhouse is designed for small birds in accordance with guidelines from Stoke's Birdhouse Book.

Recommended features include:

• Thick walls to protect against too hot or too cold
• Vent holes near the top
• Drainage holes at the bottom
• Easily removable front panel to clean it out
• Grooves on the inside under the entrance hole to help fledglings crawl to the entrance
• No perch recommended
• 2" roof overhang over the entrance hole to keep rain out
• Easy mounting slot on the back of the house

Extra features:

• Added optional textured front so birds can land on the front of the birdhouse
• Slightly angled wall under the hole to help fledglings climb
• Ridges on the inside of the entrance hole to give birds a foot hold on the slick plastic

Steps To Print:

1. Note: 3/30/24 added option to print front plate with textured outside
2. Note: 3/23/24 fixed ridges in hole to print better
3. To reduce warpage and adhesion troubles I have disabled fan for the first few layers
4. Front panel may be tough to insert if there is warpage
   1. if that is the case set birdhouse on the floor with the bottom against a wall
   2. push front panel into the slots
   3. push panel down simultaneously while sliding panel towards the wall
   4. to remove panel, simply put your thumb in the entrance hole and pull towards the roof
5. Hanging slot is designed for #10 deck screws, but #8 will also work
6. Muted colors are recommended by the authors of the book
7. May want to avoid very dark colors to avoid over heating
