Description

These are a set of tile holders for the awesome game “CASCADIA” from FLATOUT GAMES. It is a great game and I highly recommend it! The age rating on the box is 10+ but it is very inclusive to children younger than that.

So why do you need these tile holders? Well, you do not need them to play the game, but they provide, in my opinion, some benefits:

  • they keep your tiles relative to each other
  • they allow you to move your tiles on the table if you suddenly expand to the bottom for example
  • placing tiles is easy if you are clumsy, a child, or have shaky hands
  • you can easily move a game in progress to the side for a later time

They are however not perfect, so you should be aware of the drawbacks:

  • they are bulky to store
  • magnets would be a more elegant solution (although expensive)
  • once a tile is placed you have to lift the grid slightly to slide in another tile holder underneath, or take the tile out first.
  • print time and filament used

In my opinion, they are worth the trade-off. I could have made them smaller, thinner, with magnets, but I think this way they are made to be used. And if one brakes it is easy to replace.

Feedback is always appreciated. I hope you like them and have lots of fun playing “CASCADIA”

I also printed this organizer from @suaimondi and i highly recommend it.
