Description

This adapter allows you to use Meta Quest 2 head straps with the new Quest 3.

Instructions:

Download "no loop Meta Quest 3 Head Strap adapter v4.3mf" and print with supports.

  • For extra safety, you can put a cable tie around it, it is the default version. See last image.
  • Download raw file for the one without the loops.
  • If it clips on too tight, reduce flow ratio or flow rate multiplier in your slicer by 5-10%. If too loose, increase flow rate.

I will continue to improve it's durability as I use it myself. Be sure download the latest files before printing.

Enjoy,
Haydn Bao

[UPDATE] - V5 STEP version uploaded.

From v4 to v5, the geometry updates are minor. There's just a few extra fillets. Between space confinements and tolerance differences of everyone's printers, v4 is working quite well according to feedback. So v4 is still the default print file.

For those new to cad, you can upload this into a free cad like fusion360, disable capture design history, and edit all it's dimensions like thicknesses and radii etc using 'q' push command.

Here were some considerations I had when tweaking it:

- If it's thickened too much, it won't flex as easy and bulge the side arms more.
- If you twist the model in 3D, it won't have a good print orientation that prints as strong.
- If you remove the slots. The body isn't weak enough to twist to conform.
