Description

Add Printer Light with Style 😎

What You Need

Assemblage

The model in the Print Profile doesn't need glue or extra pieces for assemblage.

Dovetails are calculated to assemble it solidly but not in a permanent manner.

1) Joint all pieces (Base and Ring)

2) Add The Magnets

2b) Optional - Add the rubber strip at the top of the base

3) Put the LEDs in Place. Use the Hole on the bottom to pass wires

4) Add the Led Opale (Printed or Buyed)

5) Connect the Ring at the Base with the Metal Pin

6) Remove the Printer Glass

7) Put it in Place and adjust it until you feel magnets make a strong connection

9) Put the Glass on it

Upgrade 1.1

New profile for Extra Piece with fontal Lip for everyone who is not confident because of the glass.

Upgrade 1.2

New Profile with Ventilated Frame

Future Improvements

The model is created to be updated with accessories or alternative pieces, think about that if you want to glue it.

  • Ring bracket for GoPro Mount
  • Rear base piece with hidden hinge for glass

If you have some good ideas about improvement feel free to make suggestions in the comment

A video is worth a thousand words.

Well designed, printed perfectly to scale. Made a slight adjustment to route cables outside but otherwise a top-notch make! Well done!

nice design, only two think need change. one front little bit where knob need make holes for screws and all joins corners little bit cut off to easy put together. I fix my with knife and finger cut with plaster.

I suggest cutting the screw hole in the foam strip (like the original one) not in the frame.

See the upgrade 1.1 that is published today. I don't think is a good idea to place glass without Foam, but if you like. Publish it as a remix if you can, maybe somebody want to use it. 😊

Have you added the Rubber Strip for Glass Bed? If you add some Foam between the Base and the Glass you don't need a frontal Lip.

I have not, but I made a little strip and glued it to the front, just in case.

I did have a lot of stringing , only piece I’ve had since I got the x1c ever string that bad, also I broke two pieces of the ring due to the dovetail joints being too tight. Just letting you know.

This is a great model, thank you! If I can make a suggestion, I think it might be better to have the lights tilted at a 45 degree angle inside the ring to make the most of the added light shining on the printed piece… I’d do it myself but am still getting to know my way around Fusion… 😅

Thanks. Based on my test 45° light create to much shadow during time-lapse.

I see, fair point. still, great model. I printed it on black pla-cf and then designed the light diffuser and printed it in white ABS. looks amazing. thanks again!
