Description

I really liked the gridfinity edit of the modular drawers, but sometimes I wanted a larger drawer. Then other people wanted smaller drawers, or different sizes, so I made a few different combinations. They are all the same Z height as the original 2x5 drawers but obviously wider and/or not as deep, so if you are mixing sizes then they can only be combined in certain ways.

Sizes available:

  • 3x5
  • 3x4
  • 3x3
  • 2x5
  • 2x4
  • 2x3

Other changes:

The drawer pull is slightly redesigned so it prints without bridging or supports.

I added a 3-way connector to compliment the 2-way and 4-way, for when you have an uneven number of drawers in a row/column. I adjusted the fit slightly since they were way too tight for me. They may work better in PETG instead of PLA. Let me know if you have issues with the fit and I can adjust the clearance.

The magnet holes are slightly smaller than gridfinity spec to make them press-fit. I also added a small test grid you can print to see how it fits your magnets.

And, in case you wanted to put your drawer onto a Gridfinity baseplate, I created some grid connectors so you can Gridfinity your Gridfinity drawer, dawg.

Printing:

The drawers print flat on their bottom. The shell prints standing upright on the back and the connectors print standing upright in the same way. The files should have the correct orientation saved so you can import them directly to your slicer and go. You'll probably want a brim for the connectors and maybe for the shells.

I included several lengths of connectors for each drawer size to make it easier to fit on various printers. If you can make the full length connectors fit and print, go for it, but they are mostly useful for you to trim to custom lengths.

I've printed several sets of drawers/shells/connectors in PLA, but PETG or really any material should work fine.

I uploaded both STEP and STL, but the STL are mostly meant for previewing here and you should print from the STEP files if your slicer supports it.

These are all generated with a parametric model in OnShape, if you want to play with it yourself: https://cad.onshape.com/documents/a9277a915bd9b02662b477f6/w/8ff2348a0bac646b64f9cf6f/e/1b5dbec11611c5344d23b1f2?configuration=Grid_Depth%3D5.0%3BGrid_Width%3D3.0%3BGrid_bottom%3Dtrue&renderMode=0&uiState=647a37b5034fd51ae24deeca

I did print the 2x3 on my A1 mini. Needed a drawer system for my corner desk. Will be printing more when I get my other filament in. Came out great.
