Description

Hueforges are fun, and I've been having a blast integrating them onto my ukuleles for endless design possibilities.  The problem is traditional hueforges have bumps, which can be annoying when strumming a uke and your arm rubs against them.

Enter the flatforge plugin.  Flatforges print completely flat and are ideal for places, like my ukulele tops, where standard Hueforges cause issues.  The problem is that flatforges are much more complex to process.  The way I processed Hueforges to put them on the ukulele top just didn't work with flatforges.  It took me a while to figure out how to do it.  And so I put together this tutorial on the process, in the hopes that it is useful to others.

And if you like my ukuleles, you can download the Dignified Doggy Soprano top that was used in the making of the video, for use with my Soprano 2 uke.

I hope you enjoy the tutorial and find it helpful.
